Account Manager and Inside Sales

Monica Blackwell has been a member of the Great Lakes Recycling family since 2016. Based out of the Roseville location, Monica works as an account manager and conducts inside sales. She has been in the recycling industry for over 12 years, which gives her the knowledge and expertise to broker the best deals for GLR and customers alike.

Managing brokered accounts for mill direct loads, from dispatching to monthly account reporting, Monica’s job is in the details. She works directly with the GLR sales representatives in the set-up process of new accounts while arming customers with all the information they need to make a smooth transition into making their companies more profitable.

Through her inside sales position, Monica works with established accounts that put out bids, researching the product and offering them the best price possible to make the transaction cost-effective for both the account and GLR. She conducts most of her work through email or phone, but occasionally conducts site visits when necessary.

“I love building relationships with customers, knowing they can call me direct for anything pertaining to their account,” says Monica. “I am very passionate about my job, and love each account for their individuality and the challenge to make each of them more profitable.”

Monica appreciates too, the family atmosphere that is cultivated at GLR. “Everyone here really believes in helping each other out to better us all.” She proudly works to maintain the company’s excellent reputation in and out of the field.

Monica lives in Macomb Township and can often be found golfing, spending time with friends and family, or planning her next beach vacation.
